Hey there, my name is Nikhil Supekar. I am a seasoned software engineer, working in the IT industry since 2012.

Presently, I work for FITTR as an Engineering Manager, where my passion lies in mentoring and guiding teams to write efficient, maintainable, and clean code. I firmly believe that exceptional software requires a collective effort, and everyone has a role to play in ensuring the quality of the codebase. I work closely with my team members to ensure that they adopt the latest technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality software that meets our needs.

I have been fortunate to work on numerous projects, including web application development from scratch, writing reliable REST API and database queries which are optimized for better performance and managing AWS services for high availability of the servers.

My career journey includes a valuable experience at Entrata India, formerly known as Xento Systems, where I gained an abundance of knowledge on clean coding. Since then, I have made it a priority to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that can be easily updated and modified over time.

During my initial career stage, I have served as a core developer for a PHP-based shopping cart application known as Avactis. I have also been involved in managing hosting for various clients, drawing from my expertise in cloud solutions to create robust and scalable web applications that are secure and cost-effective.

I am a firm believer in continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies. I keep myself informed and continuously improve my skills as a software engineer by reading software development books and listening to tech podcasts. While books provide an in-depth exploration of particular topics, podcasts offer a conversational and current view of the industry, covering a range of subjects, from new programming languages and frameworks to the latest software engineering trends.
